We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help care for our horses. Tasks include providing food, water, and shelter, checking for signs of illness or injury, grooming and saddling, and general maintenance such as checking fences and cleaning water troughs. We're looking for volunteers to help collect uneaten school lunches from local schools and bring them back to our hub for sorting and redistribution. If you're able to drive a van, lift trays of food, and assist with sorting and shelving, we’d love to have you on board. Good communication skills are essential, and an understanding of Christian kaupapa is appreciated.

We are seeking a dedicated volunteer with experience in administration and Board minute-keeping to join our team. Ideal Volunteer will have:
Administrative Experience: Previous involvement with Board meetings or similar administrative tasks.
Knowledge of Google Docs and Electronic Filing: Proficiency in using Google Docs for document preparation and electronic filing systems.
Audio-Visual Technology Skills: Specialist knowledge in audio-visual technology is a plus, as it may become relevant in future meetings.
Strong English Language Skills: Good reading, writing, and spelling abilities in English. Additional languages are a bonus.
Availability: Board meetings are held once a month, on the last Saturday from 10:30 am to around noon. Preparation of agendas and formal minutes can be done remotely.

We need a volunteer to assist in publishing a bi-monthly newsletter, managing media relations, drafting press releases, and coordinating advertising as needed for a not-for-profit organisation that provides equine therapy sessions to people with disabilities. Familiarity with social media platforms and the ability to relate well to members in this field are essential. Following a police check and acceptance, volunteers will undergo an induction course to familiarise themselves with our facilities, procedures, policies, and duties.

Coach
Do you have experience with horses and enjoy working with children and young people who have disabilities? We're searching for a volunteer coach to help these kids ride horses and build their confidence. Training starts after a police check, and we cover course fees. We ask that you commit for a certain period. Teaching experience is helpful, but not required. Once accepted, you'll receive an induction program.

Volunteers are matched with residents for regular visits and companionship. Activities can range from a simple chat or sharing a cup of tea, to reading a book or going for a short walk together - whatever best suits the resident. No lifting of residents is required, and a police vetting check is necessary.
