Forklift Operator/Store Person

Mon to Sun 

8.30am - 12.30pm or 12.30pm - 4.30pm.

Opportunity to volunteer in a store that stocks and distributes free products to the community.  Tasks will be as follows: 
•    Moving product off and on pallets to gather orders for groups. 
•    Preparing pallet wrap and plastic packaging for recycling.
•    Maintaining general tidiness at the warehouse. 
•    Assisting in the loading of product into vehicles.  
•    Using pallet jack and walking forklift to move and stack pallets.
•    Recording product location data and product transfer data.

Hospital Host

Hospital Hosts are here to welcome people to Palmerston North hospital and to help them find their way.  This support will include a warm welcome for patients, whanau, family, help with directions or escorting people to appointments, assisting people in need, helping keep public areas tidy and welcoming, assisting with the evacuation of people from the building during a fire alarm and other tasks agreed with the coordinator.

As a Volunteer Team Leader you will be responsible for the recruitment and training of volunteers, liaising with volunteers and hospital staff, team meetings, communications and monthly reporting.  A uniform and St John membership will be provided.


Marketing Role to design booklet



Re-designing a resource booklet used in primary schools. The aim is to upgrading our booklet that are used by school age children to develop self confidence, resilience and a sense of community. Work from home, on your own time until the job is finished.

Primarily to attend bi-monthly short meeting to take minutes and report financial transactions. Occasional opportunities for driving people to recreational activities. Literate in english, computer literate, NZ full drivers license if driving

5pm - 6:30pm 

A driver and support personnel is required on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 6.30pm to deliver children and young people to their residences following participation in a youth programme.

Digital Inclusion Tutor

A PN based Information Technology charity is looking for enthusiastic, people friendly, IT savvy volunteers to help tutoring families with school aged children.
You will aid with induction and follow up lessons, teaching the basic use of Chromebook, Google Application, online security, and be placed on a roster list choosing freely when you can help depending on your availability.
Most importantly you will be part of a great team that aims to reduce the digital divide in Palmerston North, plus the opportunity to take the Google "Certified Educator" exams (level 1 and 2) and be part of PN City Council IT events support.

Secretarial services to ensure the administration operations of the organisation run smoothly.  Includes organizing and servicing meetings, with the production of an agenda, writing up of minutes of the meetings.

If you love to drive and would like to help brighten the day of older people in Wellington, then this is the role for you! Drivers are required for an afternoon club on Mondays from 2-4 pm. Drivers would be required for transport before and after those times, with opportunities to assist during the club as well.  Services offered are about maximizing independence

Would you like to spread the word about a great organization? Do you have a few spare hours to spend going around your community (perhaps on your bicycle/in your car)? Trolley run Coordinator

PN Esplanade Railway Assistant

Creative workshop assistant


Palmerston North based weekend arts and crafts group providing free opportunities for people to gather for company and artistic interest on the third Saturday of each month from March to December each year. Volunteers assist in gathering local resources eg wood, pinecones, seed pods, and any materials able to be used for craft, and/or assist in the running of the workshops through providing companionship and skill development to keep people engaged and active in their community.
